Part 1: Reflection COMM 302

During the week first of my COMM 302 class, I learned so much on ways to make yourself stand out from other candidates when it comes to job opportunities. An ePortfolio is one of those ways and from the looks of this project, it seems like it is a great way to put yourself out there. This long semester project is going to challenge my mind in ways on how I am different compared to other people in trying to pursue a good career when I finish school.

The easiest part of setting up my Wix account was putting in my email and password to create it. It was also easy to choose a layout for how I wanted it to look. I am not that choosy of person so it did not take me long to decide the design of my portfolio. Picking the colors that I wanted was easy as well because I want this to be simple and not over the top.

The most challenging in setting up the account was trying to figure out how to do the resume. I honestly do not think I did it right because the way I did it does not look like an ordinary resume. Trying to figure out how to add pictures and text was hard until I realized that the button to do so was in the left hand corner.

Overall I feel pretty confident about this ePortfolio, but I think it is going to need a lot of work to make it look the best that it can be. I think the resume is going to need a lot of attention because I have a hard copy of it and another teacher from last semester said that I need to fix it. I believe once I get the proper feedback that I need, my portfolio will look professional as possible. I do not have any questions at the moment, but I have no doubt that I will as the semester goes on.
